LEED Silver Certification!
MZE was engaged by Niagara Regional Housing (NRH) to not only design their new 67-unit seniors' residence building, but also provide sustainable design guidance and administer the
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) process in an attempt to achieve a LEED Silver Certification. We just received confirmation that the project has been awarded LEED Silver with 57 points for sustainable design iniciatives that were included as part of the design and construction process.
In 2006 our Centre for Conservation @ Ball's Falls project, for the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority, was the first LEED Gold certified project in Niagara.
We provide proper project planning, suggest numerous design considerations, material selections, and durable detailing to all of our Clients. If there are changes to the scope of the project they are more easily done while on paper than on the job site. We often provide 3D modelling as a tool to clearly communicate with our Clients throughout the design process. Our final design drawings and project specifications capture the full scope of a project and provides the opportunity for competitive tendering to qualified Contractors.
